Gold Coast Goldstars Cycling Club

The Gold Coast Goldstars is a Cycling Australia affiliated cycling club with members of all ages from all over from Gold Coast City.

Our Junior Development Program is the only one of its kind on the Gold Coast, and our junior members range from 8 to 18 years old. Our Club Coaches attend to the training and development of all these youngsters, some of whom just ride a bike for the enjoyment while others go on to represent their State and Country. Our senior Club Coach is the current State Junior Coach.

Our Elite membership consists of men and women aged 19 to 34, and our Masters membership consists of those 35 years and over. One of our Masters members is 70 years old and is a current Australian age group Champion. He competes in Europe each winter and has won several recent World Championships while there. During the summer, he is seen racing in our regular Sunday races showing younger competitors how it is done.

Important Notice for All Members - Closing Date for Open Events

Cycling Queensland wishes to advise members that ALL nominations for Open Events now close a minimum of fourteen (14) days prior to each event. This means that riders will need to be more diligent than in the past to ensure that their nominations are received before the cut-off date. The CQ Technical Committee have deemed it necessary to make this change to ensure all promoters and volunteers are given sufficient time to prepare for events. Many hours have been lost in previous years making last minute adjustments to start lists and this change will seek to address the increasing problem.

The ability to submit a late nomination will still be at the promoters discretion and will be clearly indicated on the event flyer and the online registration page if this applies. All late entries are still subject to the normal late fee of $20 Seniors & $10 Juniors.
